These are the hands that showed me love
These are the hands that gave me life,
These are the hands that gave me courage
When I found myself in the midst of strife

I believe these hands are stronger
Than any mans hands
Because these are a mothers hands

These are the hands that showed me
How to tie my shoe
The hands of the first one who said
“I love you”

These are the hands of the one who
Called me “Her little gem ”
The one who taught me to live, and love,
And always lend a helping hand

These hands really mean a lot to me
